The World Cup victory celebrations in Spain were marred by tragedy. A 13-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic accident in Salamanca.

According to Spanish media reports, the unfortunate teenager was standing near a fountain during the celebrations when the upper part of the structure at its center broke loose and fell on him.

An ambulance and the fire department were immediately called to the scene.

Firefighters managed to free the two people, who were immediately transported to the hospital. One of them, a 13-year-old boy, did not survive.

So far, the cause of this tragic accident and the circumstances surrounding it have not been determined.
