ARIS U17 was crowned the Cypriot league champion for the 2025–26 season, adding yet another significant achievement to the record of one of the country’s most promising generations of young soccer players.
For this team of players born primarily in 2008 and 2009, this latest success continues an exceptional five-year journey. It began with the 2021–22 Cyprus U13 Championship, followed by a remarkable run during which the team remained undefeated in approximately 50 consecutive matches and won further league titles.
The latest triumph in the U17 division means that this generation has now won four Cyprus league titles in five years.
Several players have already taken the next step in their careers. Max Enqvist moved to Kalmar in Sweden, while Giorgos Kestas and Alexandros Geroukalas joined AEK Athens in Greece.
A Championship Won Under Pressure
The U17 title came after a particularly competitive season, with APOEL, Omonia, and Ayia Napa all vying for first place in the standings.
One of the defining moments was the crucial match against APOEL. ARIS was down 1-0 at halftime but tied the game after the break, before 17-year-old defender Artem Fischer scored the winning goal with a header on the final attack.
The championship was ultimately decided on the final matchday. ARIS drew with AEK, while Omonia drew 2-2 with Karmiotissa, thus confirming ARIS’s title.
This achievement reflects the broader progress of the ARIS Academy. Ten members of the U17 team also saw playing time with the U19 squad during the season, while several players are already making the transition to men’s soccer and representing Cyprus at the international youth level.
Developing Players for the Future
ARIS has made youth development a central part of its long-term strategy. Approximately 2,000 children are currently part of the academy’s structure, with the club aiming to create a pathway from youth soccer through the elite academy system and ultimately to the first team.
The program combines team and individual training with specialized coaching, physical conditioning, rehabilitation, and international experience.
Tournaments abroad are an important part of this development. In 2025, the team competed in the Elite Neon Cup in Greece against strong European academies. In 2026, the champions will travel to the Netherlands for the Heemskerk Cup, giving the players another opportunity to test their skills against international opponents.
Supported by Coinspaid Solutions
This ongoing investment in young players is supported by Coinspaid Solutions, the Official Partner of the ARIS Soccer Academy.
“We are incredibly happy to see ARIS U17 become champions and to celebrate this achievement together with the players, coaches, and everyone at the Academy. As part of Coinspaid’s corporate philanthropic initiatives, we are proud to support young talent and help create opportunities for these players to develop, compete internationally, and pursue their aspirations. Seeing their hard work yield such results our partnership takes on special meaning, and we look forward to supporting them in their next steps,” commented Pavel Kashuba, Head of Strategy at Coinspaid Solutions.
The partnership helps ARIS provide its young soccer players with additional opportunities for development, specialized support, training camps, and international matches. The club’s academy infrastructure also includes the Coinspaid Training Center – ARIS Soccer Academy in Kato Polemidia.
For ARIS, then, the latest championship is more than just another trophy. It is proof of a development system designed to prepare talented young Cypriot players for the next level.
Four championships in five years underscore the potential of this generation. The next challenge is even greater: to turn these young champions into professional soccer players and offer them the opportunity to excel in Cyprus and beyond its borders.
With ARIS investing in their development and Coinspaid Solutions supporting their journey, one of Cyprus’s most exciting new generations is ready for its next step.
