Mike Batiste’s big return to Panathinaikos is official!

Dimitris Giannakopoulos announced via his Instagram account the return of the once-great American center, who is leaving the NBA and will once again be playing for the “clover.”

Team officials have reached an agreement with Batiste, who is leaving the NBA and his role as assistant coach to Darko Rajaković with the Toronto Raptors. Previously, he had held the same role with the Nets, Hornets, Magic, Wizards, Rockets, and Raptors.

He will now join the staff of Željko Obradović, under whose guidance he excelled and became one of the top centers in Europe, and he will sign a three-year contract with Panathinaikos.
