LeBron James will continue his career with the Cavaliers, as Bill Simmons reported with certainty on his popular podcast.
The 41-year-old superstar was being courted by the Warriors, the Sixers, and the Heat, but it appears he will return to Cleveland to finish his career.
“What happened to poor Golden State is that they thought they were going to get LeBron and possibly Anthony Davis, and now, it’s pretty clear they were being used as leverage, since LeBron is returning to Cleveland,” Simmons said.
LeBron James played for the Cavaliers from 2003 to 2010 and returned in 2014, staying for four years, during which he led the team to the only championship in its history (2016).
This year, the Ohio-born “King” averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game during the regular season with the Lakers, while in the playoffs he averaged 23.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.3 steals on average.
