Napoli returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Bologna at the “Diego Armando Maradona” Stadium in the fourth matchday of Serie A, putting their two consecutive losses behind them.

The “Partenopei” were the better team for most of the match and created the best chances, with Bologna largely limited to a defensive role. Napoli finished the game with 15 shots on goal compared to just 5 by the visitors, and had four clear-cut chances, making it clear that a goal was only a matter of time.

Bologna found the back of the net in the 7th minute through Teat, but the goal was disallowed for offside. In the first half, neither team managed to open the scoring, with the score remaining 0-0 at halftime.

The breakthrough for Napoli came early in the second half. In the 66th minute, Favasuli found Lobotka, and the Slovak midfielder sent the ball into the net for a 1-0 lead, putting the home team ahead.

Napoli managed their lead well until the final whistle and celebrated a valuable three points. The team from southern Italy reaffirmed its superiority and gained much-needed breathing room in the standings and a psychological boost after two consecutive losses.

Earlier, Lecce celebrated a 3-2 victory over Monza in a thrilling match. The home team came out strong and took a 3-0 lead by the 21st minute, with two goals by Koulibaly and one by Tiago Gabriel.

Monza pulled one back before halftime, and Zebayos made it 3-2 in the 89th minute, adding new excitement to the finish. Lecce, however, held on until the final whistle and secured the valuable three points, returning to winning ways.
