Franco Mastaduwano has arrived in Italy to provide answers, and since Fiorentina struggled in its first three Serie A matches, Venice inspired him to take matters into his own hands. And there, against Venezia, with a hat trick, he led the “Viola” to their first league win of the season (2-4).
Of course, the home team, against the run of play, had taken the lead through Che Adams in the 22nd minute, only for Mastadono’s magical left foot to score two identical goals in the 29th and 30th minutes, completing a stunning comeback in just two minutes!
Fiorentina, capitalizing on Pelegrino’s sprint during a perfect transition in the 66th minute, made it 3–1, while, Mastadono, even if by luck, found himself in a shooting position in the 84th minute and completed his hat trick to make it 1-4, sealing the victory.
The final score of 2-4 came with Hoynot’s beautiful finish off the far post in the 86th minute, but Venezia was already doomed.
