Panathinaikos has finalized its roster ahead of the new season, putting together a high-quality and reliable team that will be led by Željko Obradović.
The “Greens” have said goodbye to key players, but the Serbian coach has essentially made his decisions regarding whether or not to trim the roster.
Turkish journalist Ersin Albayrak of “Kartal Record” also made a similar revelation.
Specifically, he emphasized that Besiktas was looking for a quality guard on the market and had singled out Jerian Grant. In fact, he noted that the two sides had reached an agreement, with the Turkish club offering Grant a fairly good contract, but Zoc put the brakes on the transfer, as he did not give his consent for the American’s departure.
“The Istanbul team had agreed with him on a very good salary for the point guard position. However, the Panathinaikos coach did not allow Jerian Grant to move to Besiktas.”
