In the end, the expected happened, and Olympiacos registered Yaremchuk on its European roster in place of El Kaabi.
This had already become apparent from the Ukrainian’s use as a substitute in the two games at Karaiskakis Stadium against Volos and OFI. And so Yaremchuk officially takes the Moroccan’s spot on Olympiacos’ Europa League roster, as the club had the right to replace him due to El Kaabi’s serious injury.

Incidentally, Yaremchuk contributed very little in yesterday’s game, going almost unnoticed during the 29 minutes he played. He made his presence felt three times: once with a good header-pass into the box, the second with a very poor touch in the box, and the third with a big missed opportunity with his head from close range in the 95th minute. He definitely needs to improve his performance significantly, even if he has the excuse that he hadn’t played in any friendlies.
Otherwise, the reports from Saudi Arabia claiming that Olympiacos is signing young Al Hamzi from Kyriakos Dourekas’s NEOM are not actually true.
In Spain, the press as a whole considers Mendilibar the favorite to replace Corberán, who was recently fired by Valencia.
