Lamine Yamal is gearing up for the most important game of his career, as Spain faces Argentina on Sunday in the World Cup final. Throughout this journey of about 40 days, the Barcelona superstar’s father has been unable to be by his side. A health issue has prevented him from traveling to the United States.
“It’s very difficult for me, since I have epilepsy and have to take several pills a day,” he said at first, adding: “I have to think carefully before making a decision like this. I have to think about myself, my son, and everyone around me. I could have a seizure and cause a problem that could have been avoided. It’s better to stay home and watch the final from there,” emphasized Mounir Nasraoui.
However, standing by Yamal’s side—who turned 19 on Monday—are his mother and his younger brother.
