Triumph for Lando Norris in qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix!
The reigning Formula 1 World Champion picked up right where he left off before the championship’s summer break, with the British McLaren driver celebrating his second pole position of the season—and his second in a row!
Just a few weeks after his dominant performance at the Hungarian Grand Prix—and following his third-place finish in today’s Sprint Race— Norris outpaced his rivals—and the rain—and with a time of 1:11.163, he’ll start tomorrow’s race from the top of the grid.
Right behind him, the two “silver arrows” will be hot on his heels, with Mercedes’ George Russell and Kimi Antonelli posting the second- and third-fastest times, respectively, separated by just over one-hundredth of a second.
Oscar Piastri will start from fourth place, while Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will start in fifth and sixth, with the two Ferraris disappointing in their performances, trailing the leader by 0.331 and 0.395 respectively.
The Grand Prix in Zandvoort, Netherlands, is scheduled for Sunday afternoon (August 23, 4:00 p.m.).
