Keravnos Strovolos and Petrolina AEK learned who their opponents will be in the regular season of the 2026/27 FIBA Europe Cup following the draw held on Thursday, July 16.
Keravnos was drawn into Group 4, where it will face Germany’s RASTA Vechta, Poland’s King Szczecin, France’s SLUC Nancy Basket, Slovakian Nitra Blue Wings, and Austrian BC Vienna.
RASTA Vechta and BC Vienna will join the group if they do not qualify through the Basketball Champions League qualifiers.
Petrolina AEK has been placed in Group 5; its participation in the FEC regular season depends on its performance in the Basketball Champions League qualifiers.
If the Larnaca-based team fails to qualify for the BCL, it will face Germany’s Fitness First Würzburg Baskets, Estonia’s Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits, Heraklis Thessaloniki, Poland’s Dziki Warszawa, and MZT Skopje Aerodrom from North Macedonia.
Fitness First Würzburg Baskets and Dziki Warszawa are also in the Basketball Champions League qualifiers, with the final group composition to be determined after the conclusion of the qualifying process.
The FIBA Europe Cup is being held this year in a revamped format with 48 teams, divided into eight groups of six. Each team will play ten games in the regular season—five at home and five on the road—instead of the six games guaranteed under the previous group stage format.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the second phase of the tournament.
