On Tuesday, July 14, the EHF held the draw for the first round of the EHF European Cup, the third-most important European competition, in which both Cypriot teams that competed in the Handball Premier during the 2025–26 season will test their luck.

Thirty-nine teams will compete in the first qualifying round for 19 spots in the second round. There are already 45 teams in the second round, and together with the 19 from the first round, they form the “64-team” bracket that will determine the champion.

In the first qualifying round of the tournament, Omonia 29M will face Lithuanian club Granitas-Karys.

Parnassos Strovolos has also learned its opponent for the first qualifying round. The team it will face is RK Gorenje Velenje from Slovenia.

The teams will play two matches, one at each venue, during the windows of September 12–13 and September 19–20. On September 22, the draw for the 32 matchups in the second qualifying round will take place, followed by the matches between October 17and 18 October and 24–25 October.
