One of the greatest coaches in NBA history, the legendary Phil Jackson, who has won more championships than any other coach in the history of the “magical planet,” will have the honor of seeing a statue of himself erected outside the Lakers’ arena.
He achieved greatness in Los Angeles, winning five championship rings. Five of the eleven he has won as a coach overall, while he has also won the championship twice as a player.

At Star Plaza in Crypto.com Arena, eight other statues already stand, all of which were also erected in honor of certain legends of the world’s top league. These include Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Pat Riley, Abdul-Jabbar, Chick Hern, and Elgin Baylor.
The ceremony to unveil the statue is scheduled for April 9, 2027, before the “Lakers” take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Phil Jackson is a Hall of Famer, and it’s worth noting that he has won more championships than any other coach in all of American sports!
