Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior have reached a final agreement to extend their contract! One of the biggest sagas of the summer has come to an end, as the 26-year-old Brazilian seemed quite close to leaving the “Santiago Bernabéu”, with Arsenal the most likely destination; however, in the end, the two sides renewed their partnership.
A few minutes after the announcement of his contract extension, Vinícius posted a photo of himself kissing the Real Madrid crest. “Eight years at the Bernabéu is not nearly enough… Six more, and forever,” wrote the player, who has been with the Spanish club for seven years.
The deal includes six more years and a significant pay raise for the Brazilian star. According to Spanish media reports, Vinícius will now earn 24 million euros per year.
Vinícius joined Real Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo when he was just 18 years old. He has become one of the team’s key players over the years, winning every title with them.
“His contribution to all these titles has been decisive through his play, his assists, and his goals, including those he scored in the last two Champions League finals won by Real Madrid (in 2022 and 2024),” Real Madrid emphasizes in its announcement.
