Scaloni’s continuation as head coach of the Argentine national team has been confirmed!
According to the latest reports, the two sides have made significant progress in their discussions and are now very close to reaching an agreement, with current indications pointing to a renewal of their partnership with a new contract running through 2030.
Scaloni’s current contract expires at the end of the year, and it appears that the 48-year-old coach will continue to lead the Albiceleste, a team he took over in the summer of 2018 and with which he reached the top of the world in 2022 and made it to two consecutive World Cup finals, losing the title to Spain and coming… within a hair’s breadth of winning back-to-back titles just a few months ago.
