Our national team returned to its “home base” yesterday afternoon, following their two Nations League matches, which resulted in a loss to Montenegro and a draw against Latvia.
Our national team trained this afternoon and is now continuing its preparations for the next and particularly important match against Armenia, this coming Friday (October 2, 7:00 p.m.) at GSP Stadium, for the third matchday of Group B in the tournament’s third division.
During today’s training session, Akis Mantzios saw all of his available players train as usual, with preparations now entering the final stretch.
On the field, the Greek coach cannot count on Sotiriou and Tsaroulas, who are suspended due to yellow cards, while Konstantinos Laifis remains doubtful, with the final decision on whether the 32-year-old center back will play to be made after tomorrow’s final practice, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
A little earlier, at 6:45 p.m., our national team coach will address the media at the customary press conference, revealing his strategy ahead of tomorrow’s crucial match.
