Olympiacos is entering the final stretch of its preparations for the big derby against Panathinaikos, with Imanol Alguacil gradually ramping up the intensity and waiting for the final training sessions before deciding on his starting lineup. The “Red-and-Whites” want to be in the best possible shape for this particularly important game.
One of the players in the spotlight is Leon Bailey. The winger has returned to his regular training schedule and appears to be putting his time away from the team behind him, which gives Al-Ghawathil an additional option. His condition will be evaluated right up until the last minute, as the coaching staff doesn’t want to take any unnecessary risks.

Meanwhile, Marius has firmly established himself as a top contender for a starting spot on the attack. His performance in training and his ability to adapt to the coach’s demands have made a positive impression, as Olympiacos looks for the elements that can make the difference against Panathinaikos.
At Renti, the focus is on both the tactics and the intensity required for a derby. Alguacil is demanding that his players apply pressure, maintain proper spacing, and make quick transitions, knowing that the details can decide a game between the two “eternal rivals.”
The upcoming training sessions will further clarify the Spanish coach’s game plan and his final selections for the starting lineup. What is certain is that Olympiacos is entering the final phase of its preseason with more options at its disposal and its sights set exclusively on the derby.
