Olympiacos faced two injury concerns in yesterday’s friendly match against Leuven, as Clayton and Danny Garcia left the game with discomfort.

Clayton started again in the “Red-and-Whites’” second friendly on Dutch soil, but managed to play for only six minutes.

The Brazilian forward felt discomfort in his hamstring and was unable to continue, prompting José Luis Medilibar to make an immediate forced substitution.

Roman Yaremchuk took his place on the field, moving to lead the Olympiacos attack.

Initial assessments indicate that Clayton will need to sit out for 10 to 15 days. This means he will miss part of preseason training, with the medical staff monitoring his recovery.

There was also an issue with Dani García in the second half. The Spanish midfielder played for a few minutes before leaving the field, with Lorenzo Cipioni taking his place in the 54th minute.

The Spanish midfielder’s injury, however, appears to be less serious than Clayton’s, and he is expected to return sooner.
