Olympiacos is stepping up its efforts on the transfer front, aiming to have as many new faces as possible at José Luis Mendilibar’s disposal before the team departs for the main phase of preseason training in the Netherlands.

The “Red-and-Whites” are now very close to finalizing the transfer of Petar Stanic from the Bulgarian club Ludogorets. Negotiations between the two clubs have progressed significantly, with the latest reports indicating that an agreement is largely in place and only the final details remain to be worked out to finalize the deal.

The 23-year-old Serbian attacking midfielder is coming off an outstanding season and has been on the Piraeus club’s radar for quite some time. The deal is reportedly worth around 8 million euros, and the plan is for the player to travel to Greece immediately to finalize his transfer.

Meanwhile, the case of Joel Roca is also in its final stages. Olympiacos has reached an agreement with Girona for his acquisition, with the transfer fee set at approximately 4.5 million euros. There are still some procedural issues to be resolved before the final “green light” is given and the Spaniard can travel to Athens to sign his contract.

The “Red-and-Whites’” moves don’t stop there, as efforts to strengthen the center of the defense continue. Domingos Duarte remains one of the top targets, with talks having been underway for quite some time. The 31-year-old Portuguese center back, who became a free agent after leaving Getafe, remains high on Olympiacos’ list, with both sides seeking a compromise.

Meanwhile, David Carmo is preparing for a fresh start with Olympiacos. The Angolan center back, who has already worn the red-and-white jersey twice, appears determined to return and put the difficulties of recent years behind him, aiming to once again become a key member of the defensive line.
