The case of Sofiane Amrabat appears to be taking a new turn, as a report from Turkey brings Olympiacos back into the spotlight regarding the signing of the Moroccan international midfielder.
Specifically, the Turkish website Sporsal, in a report concerning Fenerbahçe, states: “Betis is interested in Amrabat, an offer from Saudi Arabia is expected, and Olympiacos has also entered the fray.”

The experienced Moroccan, who has 75 caps with his national team and is currently at the 2026 World Cup, is under contract with Fenerbahçe, however, all signs point to him being unlikely to continue with the Turkish club. Last season, he played on loan at Betis, putting in a full season, and he also made his mark against Panathinaikos in the Europa League knockout stage, scoring with an impressive long-range shot.
Amrabat is no stranger to the people at Olympiacos, as his name had been mentioned in previous transfer windows. Now, the latest report from Turkey reinforces speculation that the Piraeus club remains actively involved in the pursuit, even as competition to sign him appears to be heating up.
