Imanol Alguacil already has his sights set on the big derby against Panathinaikos, despite the fact that he doesn’t have all his players available at the moment.
The Olympiacos coach and his staff are gathering information on their “eternal” rival and are working on the details that could play a decisive role in the October 11 match at Faliro. The game is of particular importance both for reasons of prestige and for the standings, and Olympiacos wants to go into it as well-prepared as possible.

The “Red-and-Whites” are wrapping up the three-day break given to them by Al-Ghuathil and will return tomorrow to the Renti training facility. Training sessions will continue through Friday, followed by another rest period, before the final stretch of preparation for the derby truly begins. The Basque coach is also placing special emphasis on set pieces, an area where he believes his team can find solutions and become more effective.
At the same time, there is optimism regarding the returns of Bailey and Gustavo Sa, who are in the final stages of their rehabilitation. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the two players are expected to step up their training and gradually rejoin the regular schedule in the coming days, giving Al-Ghuathil more options ahead of the match against Panathinaikos.
On the transfer front, it appears that Olympiacos is heading toward the close of the special window for free agents without making any new signings. So far, no deal has come close to being finalized, although the club has been evaluating available players recently. The window remains open until the last minute, and theoretically the situation could change, but based on the current picture, the Piraeus club does not appear to be moving forward with another signing.
