Olympiacos has put its big win over Panathinaikos (1-0) behind it and has now turned its full attention to Thursday’s match against Marseille at the “Velodrome” in the Europa League.
Imanol Alguacil is considering freshening up his starting lineup, but without making too many changes. Ortega is a sure starter in goal, as is Retsos at center back, likely paired with Pirola, though Karmo is also a candidate. Since Saliakas will be suspended for the next league match following his red card, he is the top choice for the right side of the defense in place of Pedersen, while on the left we might see Bruno in place of Tiknizian.

In the midfield, the duo of Froiler and Puerta is unlikely to be broken up, though Ese is a candidate for a spot, and in that case, the Colombian would play further forward in place of Chikino. Zelson and Zota are the frontrunners for the wings, while up front things are pretty clear, as Marius is off the list, leaving Gonzalez and Yaremchuk to compete for the spot, with the Ukrainian having a good chance due to his experience last year in France.
It should be noted that the injured El Kaabi, as well as Popovic, Garcia, Sipioni, Roca, and Clayton, are not on the European roster.
