Omonia made history with its 1-0 victory over Celta!
It wasn’t just… a simple three points in Europe; it was a historic achievement for the “clover,” as it managed to defeat a Spanish team in Europe for the first time. In four matches, the “Greens” had suffered an equal number of losses in their two-leg series against Granada and Real Sociedad.

Henning Berg’s squad looked Vigo’s team in the eye and “stung” them in the final moments with a spectacular goal by Balkovec, who sealed the victory.
Now, Omonia is focusing on the upcoming league match against Krasava ENY (September 20, 8:00 p.m.) at GSP, where they hope to… make a smooth return to Cypriot reality and get back on the winning track in the league before the break.
