Following its victory over Lincoln, Omonia is now focusing on the Europa League playoffs, where it will face Sint-Truiden. The first leg will be played in Belgium and is scheduled for this coming Thursday (August 20, 9:00 p.m.) and the second leg a week later (August 27, 8:00 p.m.) at GSP Stadium.
Ahead of the upcoming European clash, Henning Berg now has two additional options at his disposal. These are the team’s two latest signings, Jean-Kévin Duvern and Lubomir Satka.
The Norwegian coach will assess the condition of the two new signings and decide whether they can be immediately included in his plans for the European campaign. Their readiness is expected to play a decisive role.
UEFA regulations allow for the addition of up to two players to List A until 11:59 p.m. on the eve of the first match. Therefore, there is still room for changes to the European roster.
If Berg decides to register the two new players, he will also need to remove players from the existing list. One of the names reportedly under discussion is Moses Odubajo.
The coming days are therefore crucial for Omonia, both in terms of competition and squad selection. Berg must finalize the European roster before the match against Sint-Truiden, aiming for a result that will give the team an advantage heading into the second leg.
