They were in high spirits and… Greece was a hit! Vassilis Spanoulis’s team defeated Poland 89-81 in a friendly match at the “Telekom Center,” as part of their preparations for the upcoming crucial “window” in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
Greece showed great enthusiasm and played very well on offense, finishing the game with 28 assists! Nick Calathes’ return played a huge role in this, as he dished out 12 of those assists. The standout of the game, however, was the “on-fire” Vasilis Toliopoulos, who scored 22 points, while Tyler Dorsey added 14 and Dinos Mitoglou contributed 12.
