Stavros Pilios’s hard work and progress at AEK have been rewarded, and "Enosis" has reached a final agreement with the Albanian international defender to extend his contract.

Pilios’s contract was set to expire in the summer of 2027, and the “Double-Headed Eagle” began negotiations with him this summer in order to keep him on Marco Nikolić’s active roster and avoid losing him as a free agent.
The two sides reached a final agreement on a new four-year contract with increased compensation.
Throughout the season that just ended, Pilios was primarily AEK’s starting left back, during an exceptional season in which AEK was crowned Greek champion and reached the quarterfinals of the Conference League.
