A new era for the German national team will bear the mark of Jürgen Klopp! The 59-year-old coach has reached an agreement with the German Football Association (DFB) and will take the reins of the “Mannschaft,” succeeding Julian Nagelsmann, who stepped down following the team’s disappointing performance at this year’s World Cup.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Klopp has reached an agreement with the DFB and is expected to sign his new contract on Friday (July 24), before being officially introduced at a press conference in Frankfurt, with the agreement running through 2030.
The former coach of Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool is returning to the dugout two years after leaving the “Reds.” To take over the German national team, he will completely step away from the Red Bull Group so he can devote himself exclusively to his new duties.
Klopp’s mission will be to lead the “Panzers” into the future, with his primary goals being to return the team to the top of European soccer at Euro 2028 and to ensure a competitive showing at the 2030 World Cup.
