The name Tapelo Maseko will forever remain… etched in “golden” letters in the history of South African soccer.
The 22-year-old winger scored the lone goal against South Korea and secured his national team’s spot in the World Cup’s “Round of 32” for the first time in history.
This is where the future of the talented forward comes into the conversation, as yesterday’s (June 24) statement by AEL’s press officer, Nikola Leventi: “Efforts are being made, but it’s a difficult situation. He’s a young player who, in his last World Cup match, demonstrated his talent and potential.”
It’s easy to say, especially after the historic goal he scored, that his stock on the soccer market has skyrocketed… making it even harder for him to stay with the Limassol team.
