Panathinaikos wraps up its preparations today (August 19) for tomorrow’s (August 20 – 9:30 p.m.) first match against Hradec Králové at the OAKA for the Conference League playoffs.
The “Greens” have secured two of the three necessary qualifications, overcoming the hurdles of Paksi and CSKA 1948, and now need just one more to advance to the League Phase of Europe’s third-tier club competition.
The “clover” has been working intensively all this time in preparation for these two matches, putting transfer talks on the back burner for a while and focusing entirely on the two “finals” against the Czech team, hoping to have their fans behind them.
Jacob Nistrup is laying out his game plan, working on several aspects of the game, such as tactics, ball movement, and set pieces.
On the roster, the 39-year-old coach will once again have Davide Calabria available, though that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll play him, while Triantafyllos Tsapras, who did not play in Sofia against CSKA 1948.
We remind you that the press conference with the Danish coach of the “clover” is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. today, “accompanied” by a player, while at 6:00 p.m. in Koropi, the team’s final training session will take place, during which the roster will be announced.
