There is good news for Panathinaikos regarding Davide Calabria, just a few days before the second leg against Hradec Kralove in the Conference League playoffs.
The Italian defender participated fully in Monday’s entire training session and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, is expected to travel with the “Clover” squad to the Czech Republic.
Calabria’s return to full training is a significant development for Panathinaikos, as the team is now entering the final stretch of its preparations for the second match against Hradec Králové. The match is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, and will determine which team advances to the next round of the European competition.
Monday’s training session took place in the morning, with the coaching staff gradually increasing the intensity in preparation for the trip to the Czech Republic. The session began with the necessary warm-up, after which the players worked on ball-movement drills.
This was followed by tactical work, with the focus on how Panathinaikos intends to approach the second leg, while the session concluded with a scrimmage. Calabria participated normally in all parts of the program, showing that he has overcome the issue that had kept him from training at full intensity.
