Following the imposition of a four-point deduction in connection with the case involving the Volos–Panserraikos and Panserraikos–Volos matches in the Super League playouts for the 2024–25 season, and following Sudgren’s public allegations of match-fixing in those two games, the Serres club issued an official statement.

Panserraikos FC expresses its utter astonishment at the unprecedented decision by the Hellenic Football Federation’s (EPO) Ethics Committee regarding a case from 18 months ago, which, in our view, lacks sufficient evidentiary basis.
We will immediately file an appeal, confident that the case will be ruled entirely unfounded on appeal.
We have complete confidence in the Greek justice system and await its final ruling.
