PAOK: Announces Entiaye, on loan from Samsunspor (VIDEO)

Serif Ndiaye is now a PAOK player, as the club announced his signing on loan from Samsunspor with an option to buy.

The Senegalese forward, who will wear the No. 27 jersey, will partner with Anestis Mithou on the team’s front line, taking the place of the departing Geremev. He will begin training immediately and will be registered for the Conference League playoffs against Bra.

The 30-year-old star (1.90 m) has been with the Turkish club since last September, when the team’s management paid 4 million euros to acquire him from Red Star.

During last season, the experienced star made a total of 29 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists.

Diaye is a national team player for his home country, having made 19 appearances and scored 4 goals while wearing the national team jersey, and a few weeks ago he was part of the squad for the North American World Cup, though he did not make an appearance.

PAOK FC announces the signing of Pape Serif Diaye from Samsunspor on loan with an option to buy. The Senegalese forward will wear the No. 27 jersey.

Pape Cherif Ndiaye was born on January 23, 1996, in Dakar, Senegal, and began his soccer career with Grand Yoff FC.In 2017, he took his first step in Europe, signing with the Belgian club Waasland-Beveren. This was followed by a move to Croatia and HNK Gorica, where he began to play a more prominent role.

In 2020, he moved to Turkey to play for Goztepe, and subsequently played in China for Shanghai Port.

In 2023, he returned to Turkey to play for Adana Demirspor, with whom he delivered outstanding performances in European competitions, scoring four goals in six games in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers.

In the summer of 2023, he began a new chapter in his career by joining Red Star Belgrade. In Belgrade, he became one of the team’s key players, winning three consecutive Serbian league titles and two Serbian Cups. At the same time, he played twice in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, finding the back of the net a total of three times in the competition.The 2024–25 season was particularly productive, as Ndiaye scored 19 goals in the league, a feat that made him the top scorer in the Serbian SuperLiga. Across all competitions that season, he finished with 22 goals, making him Red Star’s top scorer.

In September 2025, he continued his career in Turkey, signing with Samsunspor. In his first season with the team, he made 29 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists.

At the international level, Cherif Ndiaye is a member of the Senegal national team, having made his debut in 2024, and was part of the squad that competed in the 2026 World Cup. He has also participated in the Africa Cup of Nations, recording a total of 19 appearances and 4 goals. With his experience playing in Belgium, Croatia, Turkey, China, and Serbia—as well as his performances with the Senegal national team—Cherif Ndiaye brings to PAOK a forward with significant European experience and appearances in major tournaments.”
