After yesterday’s day off, PAOK’s players are returning to training to begin preparations for Thursday’s rematch against Anderlecht (9:30 p.m.), where they’ll try to overturn their 1-0 loss at Toumba.
Alessio Lisi will likely throw both Giannoulis at left back and Lousé in midfield into the fray. They may have had only a few training sessions with the team, but their quality is undisputed, and PAOK needs them in such a demanding match.
Elustondo’s spot in the starting lineup is also a given, as Hatzidiakos has accumulated yellow cards and will miss the rematch. We’re unlikely to see any other changes to the starting lineup, and Konstantelias—who welcomed his second child, a healthy baby girl, into the world yesterday—is expected to play as well. As a reminder, Meite, Despodov, and Ali are out of action.
On the transfer front, developments are expected soon regarding a center back and a midfielder, as targets have been identified and talks are underway, while PAOK is urgently seeking to sign a starting striker, with the case of Oure in the spotlight but also proving very difficult.
