PAOK continues its efforts to retain key members of its Greek core, having already finalized the deal for Antonis Tsiftsis. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has extended his contract with PAOK through the summer of 2029, confirming that he is part of the club’s plans for the coming years.
Tsiftsis has been in Thessaloniki since the summer of 2024 and, during that time, has earned the trust of the PAOK organization. The new agreement gives him even greater prospects with the team, at a time when there is also interest in future planning for the goalkeeper position, as Jiri Pavlenka’s contract expires next summer.
Now that this matter has been “settled,” PAOK officials are turning their attention to Giannis Michailidis. Initial talks with the left-footed international center back did not lead to the desired outcome, however, in recent days there appears to have been new movement, with the aim of bringing the two sides back to the negotiating table.
Ivan Savvidis is reportedly playing a key role in these developments, having requested that the process for extending Michailidis’s contract move forward immediately. PAOK considers the Greek center back crucial to their plans for the coming years and wants to resolve the matter without further delay.
