PAOK is very close to finalizing its first signing of this summer, with the deal for Aritz Elustondo now reportedly at a very advanced stage.
According to Spanish media reports, the 32-year-old center back has accepted PAOK’s offer and is preparing to move to Thessaloniki after his contract with Real Sociedad expires.
The final details concern the length of the contract, which is expected to be for two years with an option to extend for another year. PAOK has submitted an offer that includes a three-year contract with particularly high financial terms, which the player has found satisfactory.
According to reports, Elustondo actively participated in the discussions and clearly expressed his desire to continue his career in Greece. Both the team’s game plan and the prospect of becoming a key player in PAOK’s new defensive line are said to have played a decisive role in his decision.
Elustondo spent his entire professional career with Real Sociedad, making more than 300 appearances across all competitions.
