A significant development has taken place regarding PAOK’s new training center in Thermi, as the club has received the “green light” from the General Secretariat of Sports, taking yet another decisive step toward the project’s completion.
This development concerns one of the most critical stages of the licensing process, as it confirms that the application submitted by the club is fully compliant with the current legislative and regulatory framework, meeting all necessary requirements.
Approval from the General Secretariat for Sports is not a mere formality, but a fundamental prerequisite for the issuance of a building permit by the relevant urban planning authorities. In this way, PAOK has cleared yet another significant hurdle on the path to constructing its new facilities.
The next step involves the review of the application by the Architectural Council, which will evaluate the architectural design, as well as the volumetric design of the building facilities planned for Thermi. This process is considered the last substantive step before the final permit is issued.
At the same time, preparations for the supplementary technical and construction studies are continuing in order to finalize the documentation required for the issuance of the building permit. The club’s goal remains to complete the permitting process within the next few months and to begin construction immediately thereafter.
