Aris’s press officer, Kostas Papadopoulos, spoke to “SUPERSPORT 104” about everything related to the Limassol team.
First, he discussed the upcoming match against Liferring, Vana Alves’s absence, and the team’s transfer plans.
On the friendly match against Liefering: “We’re facing Liefering, which has many young players who belong to Salzburg. Their goal is promotion. They may be a Salzburg affiliate, but they are an independent team and have every right to compete for promotion to the top division. It will be a tense match, and we hope to see some positive signs.”
Regarding Vana Alves and the possibility of a change in transfer plans: “Unfortunately, he suffered an injury. His recovery time is estimated at 6–8 weeks. It’s all part of the game. Zandro is having an excellent preseason. We’re evaluating the goalkeeper situation and will decide whether to bring in additional reinforcements. We’ll also monitor the progress of Vana’s recovery, but we may need to bring in another player.”
Regarding any updates on the scheduling of the match against Apollon: “There are no updates. The thing is, three Limassol teams are playing at home in the season opener.”
On the progress of scheduling: “Things are moving forward. I think we’ll have something to share with the team’s fans next week.”
