Aris’s press officer, Kostas Papadopoulos, made statements to “SUPERSPORT 104.” He spoke about the signings of young players, player loans, and the team’s latest preseason friendly against AEL. He also discussed the team’s current performance.
Regarding the signings of young players: “If you notice, the two players announced yesterday and the day before—Sokous and Maras—are international players with their countries’ youth national teams, and they’re players we brought to the team after a lot of searching. I wouldn’t rule out further moves, and what remains is for the coach to successfully integrate them into the team’s philosophy.”

On loan players: “We can’t rule anything out. It’s not a priority, and we’ll keep on the team those we consider essential. We won’t risk letting go of players the coach is counting on.”
On the risk: “It makes sense that journalists would have this question, because they’re young. They need time to settle into the team’s rhythm, and we want to see how they can perform under pressure in games. All of them have top-division experience, at least in the countries where they played. We believe in them, and we can be competitive.”
On the friendly against AEL: “It’s our last match against a team that has grown stronger and will have goals in the league. We’re a young team with an average age that no other team in Cyprus has. We’ve signed 11 players under the age of 23; even Zandro, who’s returned, is 21, as are Sarfo and Paze.”
On defensive experience: “It’s no coincidence that the older players are on defense. We want them to lead the team and help the younger players settle into the team’s dynamic.”
On the lineup: “Pazé and Gaustad will sit out the friendly, and we’ll see about the season opener. Vana is definitely out.”
