CFF President Haris Loizidis made remarks at a press conference held to mark his first year as president of the Federation.
After presenting his report, he answered questions, one of which concerned changes to the Federation’s judicial bodies. More specifically, the question was whether Aristotelis Vryonidis (Sports Judge—photo) and Stelios Nikolaou (Disciplinary Prosecutor) would remain on the new committees.
Here is the statement in full: “First of all, we must note that this system has been in place for twelve years. I must say that it has functioned very effectively. We had no problems. There were no grounds for anyone to complain. Gradually, however, I believe it has run its course. Our decision was to expand the membership of the judicial committee to take some of the heat and complaints from certain clubs off our shoulders. Whether the two of them will remain is up to the executive committee to decide. I cannot prejudge the executive committee’s decision.”
