Yet another Wolfsburg player is on his way out, as the German club—now competing in the second division—announced the termination of its contract with Danish player Christian Eriksen.
The 34-year-old midfielder’s contract was set to run through June 30, 2027, but Eriksen requested his release, as he wishes to be close to his family in Denmark at this time.
Eriksen was signed as a free agent a year ago and managed to make a total of 34 appearances for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, and the German Cup, recording three goals and ten assists.
