Paris Saint-Germain has decided to give Ousmane Dembélé a few days off, so that the French forward can recharge and return in better playing condition ahead of the demanding remainder of the season.
The decision was made jointly by Luis Enrique and the club’s sports department, with Paris opting for careful management of its starting forward following a particularly grueling summer.

Ousmane Dembélé will not be available to his coach for the upcoming Ligue 1 match against Lille and is expected to return to team training next Monday.
The French international joined Paris’s preseason training later than expected, as he had previously been with the French national team at the World Cup. Since then, the French champions have sought to gradually increase his playing time without overloading him too quickly.
Dembélé came on as a substitute in the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa, saw some playing time in the French Super Cup against Lens, and started in the league opener against Rennes before being substituted at halftime.
His absence opens the door for other options on offense, with Ferran Torres among the players who could see more playing time against Lille.
