Panathinaikos’s first road game is against Partizan, with Zeljko Obradovic returning to a place he… would like to forget as soon as possible!
The “Greens” face Partizan tonight (Oct. 13, 9:30 p.m.) at the “Belgrade Arena” for the 5th round of the EuroLeague, seeking yet another win to continue their outstanding start.

Zeljko Obradović’s team is 4-0, having defeated Fenerbahçe 92-74 in the previous round. The star of the game was Matias Lesor, who was named MVP of the round with 19 points and eight rebounds, earning 30 points in the evaluation system.
As a result, the “Clover” sits atop the standings, tied with the equally undefeated Valencia. As for its domestic commitments, the team dominated last Saturday in Patras against Promitheas and traveled to Serbia in high spirits.
On the court, Centric Nan and Kostas Sloukas remain sidelined, while the big challenge for the “Greens” is to maintain the defensive intensity they’ve shown so far even away from Athens.
Of particular interest is Obradović’s return to face his former team in a matchup with strong emotional undertones.
He’ll face Joan Peñarroya’s Partizan, which has also gotten off to a strong start with a 3-1 record, but is coming off an 86-76 loss to Real Madrid in Madrid.
The Spanish coach faces many challenges, as he will be without Marinkovic, Bosnjakovic, Jabari Parker, and Willis.
