Spain dominated France and, with a 2-0 victory, secured the first spot in the World Cup final, which will be held next Sunday (July 19). There, they will face the winner of the England-Argentina match.
Alongside the “Les Bleus’” great success, Lamine Yamal’s impressive streak against Kylian Mbappé continued. The 19-year-old Barcelona star has become something of a nemesis for the French superstar, as he holds a clear advantage over him at both the club and national team levels.
Overall, in their 11 head-to-head matches, Yamal has nine wins, while Mbappé has come out on top just twice. As for Spain-France matches, the young Spaniard has a perfect record with 3 out of 3 wins!
It’s worth noting, in fact, that all three of these games took place in the semifinal stage of each competition— the Euro, the Nations League, and the World Cup, with Yamal securing a spot in the final in each instance.
