New details are emerging regarding the Dodo case, as reported by Alfredo Pentoula. The Italian journalist reports that the Brazilian right back is very close to joining Olympiacos, with Nottingham Forest having submitted a new offer to sign him.
According to the report, Nottingham is attempting to sign Dodo immediately and then loan him to Olympiacos, as part of the joint strategy being pursued by the two clubs, as they are owned by the same person, Vangelis Marinakis. This move will allow the “Red-and-Whites” to immediately strengthen their right side of the defense.
Pentoulas notes that there is a “possible last-minute opportunity, but time is limited,” which suggests that the deal is now entering the final stretch. Nottingham is trying to take advantage of the player’s current status and finalize the deal before the transfer window closes.
Olympiacos, as a reminder, already has Pedersen and Saliaka for the right side of the defense, while Rodinei—who can play anywhere along the right flank—is set to leave for Santos. Dodo is exactly that type of player: a player who can cover the entire line, both as a fullback and as a winger, giving Olympiacos the flexibility it’s looking for.
#Dodo is really close to #Olympiacos; #Nottingham is set to make a new offer (there was a gap in negotiations). A possible last-minute deal, but time is running out

About an hour ago, however, journalist Matteo Moretto painted a different picture. According to the Italian insider, Dodo’s priority is to stay at Fiorentina and make a final decision on his future during the next transfer window. In fact, Moretto claims that the Brazilian rejected an offer from Olympiacos in recent days, which further complicates the situation. Dodo is under contract with Fiorentina through 2027.
With the conflicting reports from Pentoulas and Moretto, the situation has now turned into a full-blown saga, and all that remains is the final outcome, which is expected soon as the transfer window closes.
Dodô’s priority is to stay at Fiorentina and make a final decision on his future starting with the next transfer window.
The Brazilian’s contract expires in June 2027.
In recent days, Dodô has turned down a transfer to Olympiacos.
