To mark APOEL’s 100th anniversary, the architectural firm J&A Philippou has released photos of the “blue-and-yellows’” new stadium in Kokkinotrimithia.
According to the firm, the first phase will have a capacity of approximately 16,000 seats, which will later be expanded to 20,000.
At the same time, they emphasize that it will offer a wide range of hospitality services and entertainment facilities.
The announcement and photos:
“Coinciding almost exactly with the 100th anniversary of APOEL’s founding on November 8, we are thrilled and honored to present the first images of APOEL’s new stadium. This is an architectural collaboration with the firm Chaix & Morel, which will be built on the outskirts of the Nicosia metropolitan area (near the village of Kokkinotrimithia).
The project involves a state-of-the-art stadium, the construction of which will take place in two phases: the first phase calls for an initial capacity of approximately 16,000 seats, which will subsequently be increased to approximately 20,000 seats. The stadium will also offer a wide range of hospitality services and entertainment facilities.
The project is an initiative of a separate company, established for this purpose by the late Constantinos Iordanou —a loyal friend of APOEL who remained devoted to the team even though he lived most of his life away from Cyprus.”
