In a documentary released about the world’s biggest national team tournament, the president of the Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa took a jab at Lamine Yamal, who decided to play for the Spanish national team rather than Morocco’s, where his father is from.
“I don’t know any Spaniard named Yamal,” was the remark that went viral from Lekja, who nevertheless emphasized that he maintains good relations with the Barcelona superstar.
