The Swiss player wants to reunite with his former coach, Xabi Alonso, with whom he enjoyed a magical spell at Bayer Leverkusen, even winning the double in 2024.
However, for this transfer to go through, Chelsea must first reach an agreement with Sunderland, the club that owns Chaka.
The 33-year-old midfielder made a splash upon his return to the Premier League, recording 34 appearances with one goal and six assists.
