Levski crushed Spartak Varna 6-0 in the Bulgarian league and is now turning its attention to the rematch against AEK on Wednesday (10:00 p.m.) at Allwyn Arena for the Champions League playoffs. The team’s coach, Julio Velásquez, expressed his confidence that his players can pull it off.
“We need to prepare as best we can for the game against AEK. At the same time, we have to dream big. We’re getting on the plane to Athens to play a good game and win it. It’s clear to everyone what our goal is. It will be a very difficult, very tough game, but I have incredible confidence in my players. I believe in my players. I have no idea how the match will end. The players will give it their all on the field. We have to play an incredible game. We need to show character and fear nothing and no one. Fear is the worst advisor,” said the Spanish coach.
He also commented on the debut of Marko Grujić, who came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute. “A player who will undoubtedly help us this season. Everything takes time. He hasn’t trained with the team yet. He needs to get into the rhythm. He’s a guy who shows incredible professionalism. His attitude is helping him adapt quickly.”
