It doesn't look like Dennis Schröder will be staying in Cleveland either! According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, the Cavaliers plan to trade the German guard to create “space” under the salary cap to acquire either Jonathan Kuminga or Payton Watson.
Schröder, who turns 32 in September, has played for 11 different teams in his 13-year NBA career. Last season, he played first for the Kings and then for the Cavaliers, averaging 10.8 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Last summer, he signed a three-year, $44.4 million contract, with the third year (2027–28) partially guaranteed. A few weeks ago, the Charlotte Hornets had expressed interest in him.
