Another step has been taken toward granting Olympiacos use of the Sunel Arena while reconstruction work is underway at the SEF.

AEK BC has granted Olympiacos a temporary concession agreement so that it can be included in the club’s application to the Professional Sports Committee.

There is no final agreement yet between the two basketball clubs, but this concession agreement is a precursor to a deal. In the coming days, the two club administrations will meet to finalize the terms of the lease, the period during which Olympiacos will use the Ano Liosia arena as its home court, as well as the relevant clauses.

It should be noted that AEK BC will receive a substantial sum for leasing the Sunel Arena to Olympiacos (estimated at over 1 million euros), while at the same time the “Red-and-Whites” will be obligated to immediately repair any damage caused to the facility.
